I loved working at Teletech. It broke my heart when they fired me because I was too nice and gave too many fee refunds that weren't supposed to be given, and generally just made too many mistakes. All good-intentioned...but still, mistakes. I wish they didn't have a no-forgiveness policy for people like me, fired for "incompetence" or whatever they called it. It was a job I could actually DO in my wheelchair. I felt like they only hired me as a token, and then got rid of me.as soon as they could justify it. Who wants a cripple dragging up their insurance premiums, right? *sad smile*

But it really IS a good place to work. Just...not for the tender-hearted. You habe to be able to follow the rules even when it feels like it's costing you your humanity. It's either that...or lose the job. Choose.

As for me...if I could only have stuck it out long enough to get OFF to phones and become a coach, like my own wonderful coach Brenda, then....THEN....it would have been my perfect job. I can lecture other people on not being tough enough, or following the rules perfectly. I just can't seem to keep it up MYSELF, 8 hours or more a day, EVERY day. I just couldn't do it.

But maybe you can. If you can tyoe and use.a computer, you can probably manage it there. Just...steel yourself. Bank of America is merciless, and they will cut you off without a second thought.

And there will be NO second chance..If there were...I would already be back there. My achievements were stellar in EVERYTHING except constantly making mistakes.

It breaks my heart. I miss it, and my co-workers, very much.

They have so much drugs in that place it's unreal! I don't want a bunch of druggies dealing with my bank account. Even supervisors are involved in drugs! How pathetic.

It may not be the best place to work, but considering you don't need a college degree and it pays pretty well out the gate it's a good place to go for an easy job.

Teletext sucks. The talent aquisition team only cates about filling up training classes as fast as possible. They have no respect for employees with doctor appointments or familys. They are badge happy and if they hired people for the scedules they needed more people wouldn't quit.
