Founded in 1958, Community Service administers a range of programs and offers services for children and families. It conducts programs related to mental health, substance abuse, juvenile justice, prevention and community education. The agency provides individual and group therapies, as well as case management, therapeutic foster care and school-based mental health solutions. It manages the Petit Jean Youth Foundation, which offers financial support for various programs and services. Community Service provides medication management, psychological testing, day treatment, early intervention, and diagnosis and evaluation services. It also offers intensive supervision, electronic monitoring and interstate compact services for the juvenile court system. The agency maintains operations in the cities of Conway, Clinton, Morrilton, Russellville, Clarksville and Danville in Arkansas.
