Horrible experience with this dealer!

I went to them in October 2013 to lease Ford Explorer. We agreed on a price and I signed the agreement. They told me that the car will be obtained from a nearby dealer in the next few days. After a few days I got a call from the director of finance saying that I need to pay $3000 on top of what we agreed on, which was the $7500 value of my car I am trading in. I refused this unilateral change on the agreement, which is in fact a unilateral cancellation of the original agreement. I then demanded the refund of my $500 security deposit that I paid to them earlier. Now started the agony that lasted until today December 28 and involved a lawsuit that I filed and won against them at Morris County Small Claim Special Court. After winning the case I filed a dispute through the bank to get the $500 because the dealer continued to ignore me. I'm really not sure if doing all that was worth it because I'm sure that I lost a lot in terms of time and money to finally obtain my $500. But I would like to highlight to everyone who would like to deal with Beyer Ford that you can confidently lean on Morris County Small Claims Court if you get the same issue I had. Moreover, you should pay the deposit through a credit card to let the bank dispute the transaction on your behalf if run into problems with them.

My car buying experience with Beyer Ford was fabulous. They were up front and pretty straight forward as to what they could do on the price. They did not play the game of saying they could work miracles when they couldn't. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Overall I am a satisfied customer who will be a repeat customer.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! bought a car...

HORRIBLE SERVICE! bought a car first week in Oct, they took the money for the registration and i haven't been able to drive my car for 3 weeks. no one calls you back, even the general manager. only asks for your name and number. once they took your money and you drove out of the gate they don't care about you!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! also, don't tell your customers that you'll do something that you don't do! i would rather take the paperwork and go to the DMV myself and get it done than have them do it and then not be able to use my car for 3 WEEKS!
