This is an established club with very nice facilities and equipment, and the Club Director is highly organized. My daughter has participated in their "play the game" clinics and club tryouts. The play the game clinics seemed nearly useless. The coach to player ratio was terrible, there was pretty much zero effort to teach skills, and they had them do a bunch a queen of the court play were they used "mini" courts that just discouraged the girls from learning how to move to the ball. I thought this would be a good chance for her to touch the ball, but it seemed like a waste of money instead. The club tryouts had an exclusionary vibe, even at the 12 and under level. Dozens of their club players from the previous year all wore all black "practice uniforms," making the other girls feel like they didn't belong. My daughter admired and asked for one of the black t-shirts many of the other girls were wearing, but when I tried to buy one (they had them at the counter with a sign for $10) I was told they were only for Triangle players. Awkward. Coaches should have encouraged players from previous year's teams to welcome and partner with new players whenever there was a partner drill, but instead they all paired up with each other and even took over small sections of courts to make the phase separation complete (and it was extremely obvious because those girls were all wearing identical clothing.)
