Terrible service! My waitress was very mean! She got my order wrong, got angry and walked away without talking to me when I confronted her! To make things worse I found a curly black hair in my food! My waitress didn't apologize, she was still mad that I had the nerve to confront her about my order being wrong to care. I tried to find a manager to complain, when he came over he brought her with him! Why would you bring the angry waitress over? She got so defensive and kept cutting me off. I had enough! To top it off, another lady came over and said she wanted me to explain what happened because the guy didn't speak much English. HELLO! What was the point of him coming over if he couldn't understand me. All I wanted was to not be charged and leave. She wasn't apologetic either. Was everyone who worked there angry and depressed or something! The manager that didn't speak English chased us out the door with cookies, that sadly were not good either. Beyond dissapointed and inconvenienced!

Shout out to you City Cafe Diner from North West Iowa. Thank you was awesome food great. Coffe exceptional and open 24 hr. First time visitor. Fun place to eat and tons of food . Portions very large. Thank you everyone there nice and very polite.

we were there for 13 minutes and no one came to our table. The manager could not explain to us why either. Worst service ever

Stopped at City Cafe for lunch today. I could not be more pleasantly surprised. Prompt, comfortable seating, attentive wait staff and delicious food. The owner came to our table rwice to make sure all was well. We will beback soon,

We had a borthday party for my aunt there tonight. It was a wonderful experience beginning to end. Great service, great food and fantastic portions. the desserts are to die for/

We were promptly seated by a very courteous hostess. The wait staff was wonderful and welcoming. The manager immediately came by to make sure we were well taken care of. I had the veal Parmesan. OMG, so delicious and portions are huge. I had two more meals with my leftovers. Will definitely go back for my mom's birthday!

I was excited to eat at this shiny new dinner. I ordered a specialty omlett that had lots of stuff in it. The only thing they put in it was the ham, no cheese, and it was Si over cooked it was dry. I told the waitress and she took it to the owner and he did nothing. Almost 10 dollars for just my order and I could not eat it. I won't be going back. Way over priced for poor quality food.

Was excited about a new diner on the Southside until I tried it. I ordered a Gyro, one of their specialty items and Greek Lemon Potatoes. The Gyro was enormous but devoid of any real flavor. The tzatziki sauce was also tasteless. Just some greek yougurt with a few herbs tossed in. The Lemon Potatoes were horrible huge wedges of parboiled potatoes with no lemon flavor and very bland. And to top it off the Gyro came with corn on the cob (Niblets)!!! I mean who serves a gyro with corn on the cob!?! Also everyone aound me had some sort of complaint that had to be addresed by the manager. Broadway Diner on HWY 138 is a much better and tastier choice for those in the area. I doubt if this place will be around long!

Me my wife my niece and mother In law went to this diner to try. We sat down and read the menu which had to many things on it. Long story short the food didn't even taste real. The burger I ordered was raw ! There was also a little roach under the bun. The pasta didn't even taste right the chicken was was very weird looking

The chicken tenders had big hunks of fat running through it. It had a fish taste. Not even chicken. When we tried to send it back the waitress got very mad So we had to talk manager. He was an older Italian guy and he was throwing his hands in our face and said u touch u buy! Also back where the bathrooms were there was mold and grease seaping out of the door where there was towels trying to keep it from getting in the hall. Don't eat here unless u want to puke or dierriah

I was charged 90 100 and 50 on my debit card when my meal was only 56 Jennifer who charged my card said there was nothing she can do the issue me a refundwhich would take only 3 business days it did not 7 dayswhich I had to return to the diner just to get yelled at and then she finally called the bookkeeper which somehow I got my refund the next day on my card. then my dad he went outside after eating their beef throw upand mom had diarrheaI would never return there again.

I am sad to see all of these reviews I had a great 1st time the management n servers were very friendly and efficient the outside area is very relaxing at night the manager gave me and my friend the pleasure if tasting a few items I haven't tasted any major entrees yet but bec if the service I will definitely make another visit

I visited on 8/6 I order a Philly cheese steak and my friend also. my son ordered chicken tenders the fries was not fresh cold, the Philly cheese steak was dry No flavor or taste the bread u r served when u r seated was hard and butter looked like it was provided by the hospital ... I WILL NEVER GO BACK ⚠⚠⚠⚠

the food presentation was terrible. The potato look like vomit and the pasta look like it came out of a can from 1978. The food was dry and not seasoned. The manager at the registrar was so rude to the point of being hostile!! I will NEVER go there again! This is not the place to go for good food and service.

Food was not good...wish I didn't have too pay but I did...I won't be coming back...SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

How very disappointing! After waiting and waiting and waiting for them to finally open - after stopping several times when there were cars in the parking lot to be told "soon" - it has finally opened. I went Saturday and was treated so rudely. We to We walked through the waiting area, where several people were waiting (maybe 10?), to the hostess desk. There was a hostess behind the hostess stand and I guess another hostess in front. The one in front said in a very rude tone, “You’ll have to wait.” No hello. No welcome. Nothing but a rude-toned, “You’ll have to wait.” Well, I had anticipated that. I said, “That’s okay. About how long do you think?” She said 15 minutes and took my name. There was a huge pile of paper (advertising) menus on the stand, as I picked it up she said, again in her rude tone, “That’s not the menu we’re using today.” I will give her an ounce of credit for giving me the current menu to peruse while waiting. Quickly the people waiting were called to be seated. We then became the last in the waiting area – people who came after us were already seated. The hostess came to the door to get the last group and asked our name, didn’t say, “Oh, we’re sorry.” Didn’t say, “Don’t know what happened.” Didn’t say to the people she was taking, “Excuse me. These ladies were here first, we’ll seat you in a moment.” Nothing. We waited a few more minutes. We left. After all the anticipation of the opening, I do not know if I’ll go back. I am thinking to give them one more chance – but they won’t get another chance if they fail the next time.

was not impressed with the restaurant, the service was good (had a very good server and food runner) But the restaurant is far to noisy and the music is played too loud. The virtually have no vegetables on the menu, no large salads listed, and the chicken Philadelphia was dry and not much taste, baked potato was no completely done(could have been a little softer and easier to mash) and no flavor to the vegetables, Greek salad not really a Greek salad. There aren't tomatoes and cucumber in a traditional one plus menu state stuffed grape leaves and there weren't any. Would most likely not go back to this place as I don't like extremely loud and noisy restaurants. I like places with salads and vegetables on the menu. Also there is no handy cap ramp in the front of the store for people who can't do stairs well or at all. they need a ramp on the to side of the front steps leading into the place and the last curb getting down to the street level to get into your car is too high and no rail to hold onto the be able to step down, needs to be fixed friend I was with almost couldn't get down that curb to get into the car. luckily I was there to let her assistance to get down.

Food was great , customer service was great as well as management . I had chicken marsala and it was awesome!!!!

Terrible food, terrible service. Waited 20 min. For the server to take my order. Food was dry and overall not tasty. Won't go back and wouldn't recommend.
