Great barn with great people. They've made my transition to horse ownership smooth and take good care of my mare. My horse and I have grown in leaps and bounds over the last few years and we were reserve champion in IHJA B limit medal finals this year.

I briefly worked at Glen Grove and had to quit due to the unacceptable condition of the lesson horses. The school horses and many of the boarders are never turned out so the animals are extremely irritable and stressed.

Additionally they regularly (once or twice a day) sedate their horses for lessons with acepromazine, a horse tranquilizer. This is not because these horses are dangerous it is because the facility is unsafe. Ace would not be necessary if these horses were properly cared for and trained. Not to mention they over work their horses and teach lessons on horses with severe wither sores.

The reason the board and lessons are more affordable than others in the area is because they are understaffed and unsafe.

Glen Grove Equestrian Center is my home away from home. I love my barn family! The trainers and staff are so nice and the horses are extremely well taken care of. This is the best barn you'll find that is close to Chicago.
