Be aware that when buying anything in Menards in Morton Grove you need to read the SKU tags because price tags are wrong- basically due the employees job. There is no assistance and if you have any problem as the manager would say-ITS YOUR PROBLEM.



I am general contractor in Chicago area. Three weeks ago I went to Menards in Morton Grove to purchase construction material. I got to the aisles and saw the products that I wanted which were on sale with the red tag price. The red tag price was 30% lower than the regular price. I loaded all the material to shopping cart and proceeded to the check out. At the checkout the cashier told me that those products are not on sale, and I have to pay regular price. I asked the cashier to explain to me why the products on the display show sale price and when you get to the checkout they are regular price. The cashier could not answer the question, so she told me to go to the manager-Mike. I asked him the same question and he check the price himself-which showed red tag-sale and he said that anyways I have to pay the full price because someone made mistake when putting the sale tags, and next time I should read the SKU numbers on the tags. I told him that I can’t read all the SKU numbers in the store I check the price and take the product, and his replay was that it’s not his problem. He was very unprofessional and rude. After two hours I called the store to speak to the main manager, the person that picked the phone got all my information and promised that the manager will call me back within 48hours. Its three weeks and I am still waiting for the call.



Me and my family spend a lot of money in Menard every year, and since this experience I did not go back to Menards and changed the store to Home Depot or Lows.
