My wife and I were in the market for a Modular home. It was to be a second home as we live on the coast of NC. We seen a model that we liked at a dealer in Morehead City, NC. Due to the distance that this house would be located (Wilkes County NC) we had to use a dealer located closer to our property. We were put in contact with Danny Hawks at Custom Built Modular Homes. He was a pleasure to deal with from the first time we met him until completion. He always went above and beyond and was a big help when we encounterd a problem with dealing with the Power Company. Though it was never expected of him, he made follow up calls and trips to the property on our behalf to help solve this power problem. And this was even before any contract was signed between us. After what seemed to be a losing battle for my wife and I with the Power Company, Danny never left us hanging. When the issue was resolved the whole planning, ordering and banking process went very smoothly with his assistance. After the house was set in place any issues or problems that arose were handled quickly and professionally and to our satisfaction. Two very minor issues arose a year later, I contacted Danny and in short order they were taken care of. My wife and I are very happy with the choice we made and are enjoying this house. After shopping for a couple of months it was obvious that there are only a couple of honest modular home dealers in this area and there was one who stood head and shoulders above all others. The prices and the quality of their homes were unmatched. We purchased a home and have been amazed at the professional work that they do. Take my word, if you want to buy a modular home there is only one place and that is Custom Built Modular Homes in Mt Airy NC

I purchased my 2nd modular from Custom Built as well as my Uncle and one of his friends. These folks had been awesome. It has been the best buying experience thatt all 3 of us have ever had. I would highly reccomend them to everyone.

This company is a poor excuse of a company. It puts ashame on other modular home facilities. These people are very hateful, disrespectful, and uncooperative. They do not stand behind the work of their contractors. The factory built the home great and to our expectations. It is just dealing with Custom Built Home is the shame. I advise everyone to go other places before buying a home from this company. You will be very diappointed at the end.

My parents bought a home through these guys & were very happy. My mom designed the floorplan that she always wanted. They were friendly. Custom Built sold my parents what they wanted and did not try to force them to buy what they did not need or want.My parents could not be happier, their new home was affordable & they quality is amazing.Stace
