AdvoServ, located in Mount Dora, Fla., is a nonprofit organization that has been operational for more than 35 years. It provides educational programs and health care services to children, the youth and adults suffering from mental health and behavioral disorders and developmental disabilities. It also provides assistance to individuals in attaining self-sufficiency, and development of communication and social skills. It provides various services, such as psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, referral and medication services, and individual and group counseling. Additonally, the organization provides special treatment to individuals suffering from domestic violence, neglect and alcohol and drug addictions. AdvoServ also provides various programs, such as Carlton Palms program, a transitional education program that serves children and adults suffering from autism and developmental disabilities. It provides education and medical treatment to such individuals for attaining functional independence and self-sufficiency.
