This painter had contracted me to do some work. He agreed to pay for work completed on the next friday. Now 3 weeks later he is ignoring my calls and wont return my messages.

I got this painter to paint the outside of the home because at the time I thought he had done such a great job on the inside...after closer inspection it turns out that was not the case.The outside started on Dec 30,2013. Now this house is a second home so the first time I saw the home was on Jan 4th due to weather. When I arrived not much had been done,only able to stay Sat and Sun and some painting was done but before I left Mr Collins "hit me up for more cash". My mistake telling him I was going to bring cash. Sunday no painting done because no contractors allowed in development. Over the following week Jan 6th while I was at work I received several texts how the job was going but the most unsettling was him requesting the final payment PRIOR to completion. After he led me to believe that he would be done on Friday afternoon Jan 10th 2014, foolishly I deposited the remainder of the money....MY MISTAKE!!! ...Sent a text at 8 o'clock that night ...His response that job not done...The last text I received from him was sat Jan 11 requesting entrance to the guard gate. Monday afternoon I started calling around 2:30 pm to see what was up ....no answer, cell phone straight to voice mail. I finally spoke to him when I called from my home phone...seems he had a "personal" emergency and did not feel the need or responsibility to inform me. The best part is he stated he was aggravated with me. Nice you have your money and no longer care. My last words to him on Monday Jan 13th 2014 was to "call" me and let me know when job is completed.Today is Jan 20, 2014 and I have not gotten that call. I just tried calling again and got instant voice mail. He still has a key to my home, I suppose I will have an added expense of changing the locks ...I wanted everyone to know DO NOT HIRE THIS PAINTER ....YOU WILL REGRET DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM!!!!!!!!
