Ok place.. bad pedi.

I went there for the first time today for a pedicure. I don't do the whole fake nail thing (my natural nails grow strong, and long enough ((3/4 to 1" on avg.)) The place was busy enough - 5 ladies were getting some sort of gel or acrylic nail work. I was a walk-in, but I called earlier in the day. I didn't mind the wait, and it gave me time to look around and pick a nail color. The staff was certainly inviting enough and made me feel quite comfortable. After I picked my color and looked at the prices, I was invited to the back where the pedicure area was. The chair was comfortable - spa chair with massage and a jet tub with color-changing lights. The gentleman who was doing my pedi turned on the music way too loud, and it was hard to hear him ask me things (in broken English.) I received the high-end pedi - a $30 value vs the $18 and $25 one. I had a nice foot bath, nail trim, cuticle push and trim, lotion, oil, hot towel massage, sea salt scrub on my legs and feet, "aromatic" foot scrub (which was liquid soap and some kind of sand-paper sponge thing and wasn't aromatic at all) and of course the callus removal with the scary cheese-grader looking tool. While the gentleman was busy at work, and did a good job, my feet still have rough spots on them. The color is superb, and probably the best paint job I've had in a long time, the pedi itself was lacking in the softening part. My feet shouldn't be rough after an hour of pampering. I know it was at least an hour, because the chair was timed for 15 minutes, which was started twice. If you're going for acrylics or gels, they were doing some beautiful work on the ladies there at a reasonable price, but for a pedi.. I won't be back.
