At Carolina Foot & Ankle Specialists we are proud of our personalized care and attentive customer service. We simply love our patients, and we love what we do! Our doctors and staff have known each other for a long time, and we enjoy including our patients in that naturally friendly, family atmosphere. Our podiatrists, Dr. Saffer and Dr. Brown are childhood friends and excellent podiatrists that work together to find the answers that bring their patients relief. As athletes themselves, they specialize in sports medicine and have decades of experience in heel pain, bunion correction, ingrown toenails, pediatric podiatry, and more. They marry the best of old school customer care with state-of-the-art technology and techniques that get their patients results-such as digital X-rays, ultrasound, Lapiplasty® 3D Bunion Surgery, and non-invasive EPAT therapy for chronic heel pain. We also work with a high-tech Forward Motion™ lab to create custom orthotics.

Dr. Saffer is wonderful. He is efficient and very knowledgeable! I have had 2 ingrown toenails on the same toe and he took the time to numb my toe completely before removing a slice of my toenail.
I had a toe fusion 4 yrs ago and that caused the ingrown nail. My third time back he said he would need to remove the same sliver of toe nail and deaden the nerve so it did not grow back. The skin from my toe would grow to meet the void of the nail. It took him 2 hours to get my tow numb, but he did it. and missed lunch doing it. He did not want me to feel any pain. I have never had a doctor take so much time and make sure that my comfort was priority to his. Thank you Dr. Saffer. I know I will always get good results when I visit here. Highly recommend anyone to this kind man and his thoughtful staff. Pat Broghamer / Realtor

This was my first trip and the Dr. Shaffer made me feel at ease. I dont like needles and he talked to me through the whole process. The staff was very polite and helpful as well.

This place is phenomenal! I've developed Plantar Fascitis over the course of working retail in my life so that's what ultimately brought me in. Dr. Andrew Saffer has a very nice bedside manner; he is cheerful and optimistic and does all that he can to help you get well. I also have severe ingrown toenails and he has performed the "permanent procedure" on both toes. I am still recovering but am getting better everyday and there is absolutely no pain whatsoever. He uses up-to-date medical technology to prevent you from feeling the pain associated with the procedure. He uses this freeze spray that helps you not feel the needles going into your feet and it's totally worth it. Seeing him on several occasions to get these issues fixed has been worth it and makes me less afraid of being in the doctor's office. I highly recommend you see him for any issues you are having with your feet.
