I was in Mount Pleasant from out of town this past weekend (specifically looking for "beachy" type furniture for my sunroom. I saw some fabulous chairs from the road and decided to give this shop a try, I would have bought them on the spot.

NEVER AGAIN!! Walked in, not a word was spoken, not a greeting mentioned, not an offer for help for the entire time I was browsing. Guess I should have worn my Sunday best to deem myself worthy of assistance in their fine establishment! So I proceeded to tell them about on my way out , jumped in my mercedes, never to step foot in a GDC again! THE ABSOLUTE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE (OR ACTUALLY NON-EXISTENT). You lost a big sale, ladies - and I use that term lightly!

I thought I would try GDC again for some last minute shopping this season. It took FOREVER for anyone to say hello and I was told "to look over there" for gift ideas. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! And clearly the "great store for all ages" review was written by an employee. If a customer posts here, they are being honest in sharing a good or bad experience. Don't try to 'balance out' reviews by posting yourself. or if you do, try not to sound so much like a commercial.

I have to say that the selection and variety is this store is amazing!

I love shopping in the GDC Home -Mount Pleasant store.

The staff is very friendly and knowlegdable and always willing to work with you and give you ideas.

The store has a nice an intimate feeling to it. It is perfect for a shopping outing with friends, or during my lunch break.

You can accomplish everything in one stop. Get the sofa, find fabric for pillow and drapes- they will even help you design it- and they can have it made up for you! It is a great convenience!

You can't find this quality in fabric or furniture any were else in Charleston!

I recently visited Isle Of Palms, and had heard about GDC. I had a great time there! They have a very unique setting and their merchandise was extremely well displayed. Everyone seemed cheerful and helpful. I am home now, and planning to "refresh" my living area. I am already planning my next trip!
