The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department works to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Mount Pleasant, S.C. It offers a range of recreational and leisure opportunities, as well as organizes a variety of special events throughout the year, such as art fests, seafood festivals, Children's Day, Christmas parties and golf tournaments. The recreation department also supports various programs, including gymnastics, babysitting, tae-kwon-do and skateboarding. The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department also organizes various adult programs that include line, belly and ballroom dancing, golf tournaments, boating education and safety courses, interior design and decoration workshops, aquatic classes, and tennis and adult sports. It additionally administers several fine arts programs.
