I have a nine year old husky who has had stomach problems from puppy on. Recently she stopped eating dog food, just treats. She also had blood in her stool, more than normally seen when she has her episodes.

We saw Dr. Livingston and she was so helpful and considerate. Her main concern was relieving the dogs discomfort and working on a long term plan for a better quality of life. She called to check on Meeko and wants feedback on her progress. I am extremely happy with the care given to my dog.

Bell City has got the best staff. Professional/polite, their love of animals is obvious by the attention to patient and pet parent.

I have senior dogs and wouldn't trust them in any one else's care.

I do like the no appointment format; it enables me to work around my busy schedule.

The doctors and staff are great at communication and follow up. My experiences over the last 10 years has been positive. Highly recommended.

As the Rescue coordinator for a nation wide dog rescue we take all dogs in this area to Belle City Hospital. We have worked directly with Dr Brian Ray with many hundreds of dogs over the last 7 years. We find Dr Ray and staff to be caring and more than dedicated to the proper care of our dogs. Dr Ray has always been an amazing veterinarian and provided the professional care all of our dogs have needed. He has preformed many surgeries and procedures, We are more than pleased with the care that DR Ray and other veterinarians and staff have provided to our many varied dogs in need,

My wife brought our dog to the clinic because she was acting lethargic, not eating, or not drinking. The vet did some tests, and then determined her liver enzymes were high. He immediately wanted to have a liver biopsy done. My wife asked if an ultrasound would be better and less invasive. His response was, "we cannot find anything definitive with an ultrasound, we will need to do the biopsy to find the answer" He suggested a referral hospital for the biopsy, but then stated that he would do it the very next day and he was qualified to do it. We opted to wait and take her to the hospital. Thank goodness we did. The problem was not with the liver but with a mass on her heart. The vet was indeed one of the owners of the clinic. His arrogance, and lack of experience to deal with these situations would have killed her during the biopsy due to the fluid build up around her heart and inability to have good blood flow to the rest of her body as well as her blood's chances to clot because the of the platelet count (Which was found during the blood test he did). When we took her to someone that actually knew what they were talking about, we were told that the biopsy would be a last resort, and would be done after more blood work and and ultrasound. The ultrasound gave all the answers we needed and allowed us to have a few more hours with her so the kids could say goodbye.

I would never trust someone that does not do his job thoroughly. He may be qualified to do "well" exams and physicals, but for anything serious, I would never trust him. He jumps to conclusions without being thorough in his diagnosis even when the numbers are on a test he took. I would never want a doctor that is unqualified to treat me, and I would not want an unqualified vet to treat my dog. It is a shame that people like that are allowed to have the job they do.

The vet we saw there was Brian Ray. Maybe there are more qualified vets that this place, but I will never take that chance again.

If you care about your pet, I would try and find someone that is at least thorough in their job and take pride in their work. Do not go to Bell City Veterinary Hospital.
