Dance Arts Center is NOT the place to go if you want your child to feel they are part of the group. There are some students that get more attention than others and all you can do is sit back hoping your child does not see or feel what you can see. Its expensive and one of the worst experiences I have had.
Even at the recital you can really see who the richer parents are as their children are treated better. Thumbs down I do not recommend it.

This is my daughter's 7th year of dance at DAC. I love the confidence it has taught her. The ability to be critiqued is a life skill many adults don't have and she humbly accepts correction. I read the other reviews and I'm sorry they feel left out. There are 2 groups at DAC. Those that take classes and those that take class's AND are in Company and compete. Company dancers are seen more because they dance more. I have never witnessed a child left out. These kids are amazing at trying to include everyone. Also, dance is an expensive sport, but $300 for one lesson can't be accurate. Prices are per class per semester. The instructors are professional, loving yet firm and help teach discipline and grace. My experience has been nothing but positive.

If you have dreams of your child learning to dance for a reasonable price and a chance to become a great dancer, look elsewhere. This place will charge you over $300 for a lesson. You will have an opportunity to watch your child sit on stage along side other children who are sitting. Meanwhile a child or two, who they may consider "gifted" parades around. You will feel your empty wallet and the opposite of pride. Your child will look graceful sitting or standing on stage and not dancing. So basically you pay $300 for them to teach your child to sit gracefully and adorn the one or two dancers that "Dance Arts Center" considers to be grand. Please don't waste your money like I and several other parents have done. Find a place that actually teaches your child proper dance. Maybe evens gives all children the opportunity to perform dance in a recital.
