I've had more automobiles than your average driver - 16 so far. I've done the sales dance for 11 of them, and it's no longer fun, or even interesting.
What a refreshing change when I came to Nelson Automotive - by chance, as it turns out - they were the only local dealer with the car I was looking for. Bracing myself for the usual salesman blather, I was surprised to find out that there wasn't any. The most pleasant car-buying experience in my life (so far) - and I'll check with them the next time I need a used car. Matt was absolutely superb.

I've purchased three vehicles at this dealership. Everyone from the owner, salesman, to the service manager have been nothing short of great!!
I recently had a major problem come up with one of my vehicles. The problem was long after my purchase and no fault of Nelson's. After trying to get the vehicle fixed in several places including out of state I thought! I'm going to call Matt at Nelson's where I purchased the vehicle. Matt immediately took action. I was out of state and not available. Matt said not a problem. I directed my son to get the vehicle over to Matt. This was Dec 23rd. Matt received my son and the vehicle and provided my son a ride to the train station so he could continue on with his day. Matt kept in contact with me with updates on the vehicle and my son! The problem took several days to fix, but the vehicle came through under extended warranty which the Service Manager Mike took care of for me. We returned from our out of state trip enjoyed our Christmas and the vehicle was ready for my son in time for him to drive back to college out of state. My son called me from school in Iowa to say the best gift he got for Christmas was his fixed car. He says it drives better now then it ever has!

Unprofessional and unethical. I will never purchase a vehicle or have my car repaired at Nelson Automotive for one simple reason: the owner, Eric Nelson, leaves negative reviews for his competitors without ever having been a customer at their facilities. I consider such behavior pathetic, desperate and unprofessional ... and if he'll lie to the public to get business, why wouldn't he lie to us once he has our business? Mr. Nelson, since you have paved the way for leaving reviews without actually receiving service from an establishment, I will follow your lead and am giving you one star for a complete lack of ethics.

Did not buy a car here, but with the way I was treated while I was looking I definitely would go back when I was ready to buy! Check them out on their website or elsewhere if you want to go to a really decent dealership!

The guys at Nelson Automotive are highly professional, fair, and a true pleasure to do business with. I recently purchased a used Audi TT that was in excellent condition, and they even disclosed an issue of potential concern with the vehicle right away. Overall, the transaction went smoothly and like their motto says, they are a different kind of automotive dealership. Great job, guys -- I will continue to buy cars from Nelson Automotive in the future!
