Jewel is Jewel is Jewel, right? Kind of, but I love this one because the people are very nice. The store is clean, and had a large selection of almost everything. The only downside is trying to get someone's attention in the bakery...I think they need more people there.

sorry, I clicked on the wrong item. My real post ended up at Osco. Either way, both of these stores are my favorite.

I've shopped at a lot of food stores because I'm old (>54). This jewel food store gets high marks because local people work and shop here. They aren't ignorant, arrogant, or lame. They just are nice people. The people working at Jewel in Buffalo Grove are disgusted because the patrons that shop there are mostly a$$holes. Possibly it is because of different upbringing or social background. I asked my sibling sister about this also. I mentioned that the Mt. Prospect Jewel has a much larger fresh fish / meat selection. She advised me that people in that area probably actually cook at home and aren't at restaurants all the time. Regardless, I find that I go to this store partially to be entertained, and I actually have a very good time with those friendly people.
