Mt. Vernon High School enrolls more than 800 students in grades nine through 12. Located in Mt. Vernon, Ind., the school s academic curriculum includes agriculture, foreign language, social studies, art and music, business and special education. It has many departments, including industrial arts, English, mathematics, family and consumer sciences and science. It additionally offers classes in health, driver training and physical education. The school has several bands, such as marching, jazz and concert band. Its athletic department includes cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, cheerleading and track. The school has many clubs, including advanced biology, art guild, German, knitting, Spanish, video, writers, journalism, key, readers and science clubs.
