Founded in 1987, WestHELP Mount Vernon is a transitional living facility that offers residential services for more than 45 homeless families. It serves the housing needs of over 280 families annually. The facility develops customized independent living plans and provides employment search services. It places nearly 900 families into permanent housing systems and approximately 1,350 clients into living wage jobs. WestHELP Mount Vernon provides mental health, behavior management and clinical care services. It also offers case management, early childhood education, day care and after-school programs. Additionally, the facility provides on-site security, vocational training and job retention services. Located in Mt.
