Went to ship 2 boxes, ensured meet large flat rate according to ups rules, was told by employee that ups did not have flat rate but would get store manager, store manager said they were a retail store and did not honor ups published rates. @ $15.00 extra to ship, will print from home and have picked up from here now on.

Seriously?

Brought in a pre-paid & labeled package to be returned and was told there would be a charge to tape the box. Seriously? A $1 for a 12" strip of tape??? Ship using any other provider in this town!

UPS requires that all pre-paid packages are shipment ready. If a customer decides to drop off a package at our location, this means two things, one the package has to have an active return label adhered to the box and second all the package is taped well at all the box seams (6) to add strength to the box. The taping at the seams provides strength to the box and ensures the box can withstand the rigors of shipping. We offer customers two solutions for taping, they can buy a roll of tape for $3.29 and do it themselves or we will be glad to tape it for them. The $1.00 charge is for the material and our time to tape the box.
