Located in Mountain Lakes, N.J., Lake Drive Program is operated by Borough of Mountain Lakes, and was established in 1969. The school offers educational services for deaf and hard of hearing students. It serves more than 250 students from over 100 communities, including Newark, Paterson, Jersey City, New Brunswick, Plainfield and Trenton in New Jersey. The school has various instructors for specialized programs, such as speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, school psychologists, social workers, paraprofessionals and sign language interpreters. Additionally, it offers programs in various subject areas, including visual arts, physical education, music, library and drama. Lake Drive Program offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as an intramural sports program and book club. It also has an audiological diagnostic testing center that offers cochlear implants.
