Provided by YP.comSeattle Tae Kwon Do is great. I don't know why nobody told me about this place sooner. I started about 13 weeks ago, over 40, fat and out of shape. The classes are fun, varied and really get results. I am no 3 waist sizes smaller, lost 30 pounds and have tons of energy. The best part is it was a fun process as I didn't focus on the workout, but just went had fun and made some great friends. This is the best decision I have ever made!

Provided by YP.comI just started taking classes here, and I am enjoying myself tremendously. I've visited several of martial arts schools in the City, and this one definitely wins out over them. They are friendly, down-to-earth but serious about teaching you. The other students I've met are all nice, helpful and talk about what a great environment this school has. They also have a very convenient schedule and class lengths. I once visited a school that wanted me to commit to two or three hour classes, which just doesn't work with my life and job. This school understands that people have lives and responsibilities but would still like to learn and improve themselves physically and mentally.

Provided by YP.comI'm a parent of a student (10 year old boy) at Seattle Taekwondo. First of all, I have no doubt that the best way to find the best Taekwondo facility for my son is to see whether or not he enjoys going to the class every time and loves learning Taekwondo along with the other kids. That's the most important thing to me, nothing else. In that sense, I'd say Seattle Taekwondo is one of the best Taekwondo dojangs around Seattle. My son insisted on taking part in the black belt club and extra class from the day one. I noticed he was very curious about the Olympic sparring gear set from the beginning and really loves sparring games with the other kids all the time regardless his Taekwondo skills. Second of all, I want to talk about martial art training style. In fact, my son attended a different Taekwondo class before. But to my disappointment, he didn't like it even after one year long trial since the previous instructor was too offensive to little kids. Then I had to look for a good one. Fortunately I was able to find Seattle Taekwondo nearby and he loves it. STKD is so friendly to me and my son like a family now. In short, I'm so glad to find Seattle Taekwondo for my son's martial art class. I'm a dad who loves my kid and I always keep an eye on my kid to see whether or not he is happy for every single activity and class. While I'm writing this review, he is going to the black belt club right now, carrying a big bag which contains his sparring gear set, humming and smiling today. What else is more important?

Provided by YP.comI started as a new student of Seattle Tae Kwon Do a month ago. I appreciate being taught at my level, (beginner), and being treated with dignity and respect. After almost a month in training, I can see the difference in my posture, mood, and my muscles. My children also take lessons with Master Lee, and I am most pleased about the discipline and self-respect that they are learning. I would highly recommend Seattle Tae Kwon Do. Pros: Convenient Location, Clean Dojang, Friendly Atmosphere Cons: None

Provided by YP.comI started to look into self defense classes and someone recommended Seattle Tae Kwon Do. They teach Taekwondo which is a Korean self defense martial arts. After calling and talking with someone over the phone I signed up and quickly fell in love. They are amazing. In short amount of time I felt completely confident, comfortable and more in shape than I have ever felt in my life. They have helped me do a complete 180. I have never had such a great experience in any gym or class in my life. No matter what martial arts you are interested in learning, they will help take you to the next level.

Provided by YP.comThe classes at Seattle Tae Kwon Do in Mountlake Terrace are great. I drive from Marysville to classes each week. It is a looooooong commute (almost 40 minutes) it is well worth it. There are schools closer but the the classes at Seattle Tae Kwon Do are so fun they make it worth the drive time.

Provided by YP.comSeattle Tae Kwon Do is an outstanding school. I have been a student since 2005, and have enjoyed myself immensely. The staff shares both their expertise and their sense of community with the students. I have watched as they help students develop in Tae Kwon Do and mature as people. This is a rare place.

Provided by YP.comI've been taking kickboxing classes at Seattle Tae Kwon Do for a few months now and I LOVE it!! I'll never go back to my lame workouts at the gym. I consider myself to be in pretty good shape, usually workout 2-3 times a week but Master Richards kicked my but so bad my first class (and continues to every class) that I was sore for days! It's a seriously intense workout. And let me tell you how great it feels to get your aggression out on those punching bags. It's a huge rush! And Master Richards (did I mention he also is a doctor?) is so nice and outgoing that he makes class really enjoyable and fun. Not to mention he plays the best music. I would really encourage everyone to at least take one class and see. I guarantee you'll love it!

Provided by YP.comI've been training at Seattle Tae Kwon Do for just about a month now and have had a great experience. When you enter the school, you'll notice that the atmosphere is a nice balance between focused and friendly. The training/conditioning is physically demanding, but the dynamic of the group reminds you that having fun is an important part of your training as well. There's no pretense here and all students (men, women and kids) can feel comfortable. I'm completely new to Tae Kwon Do, but Senior Master Lee and the other students have been patient, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful in getting me into to the sport. The class sizes are fairly small (10-15), which allows for a lot of personalized attention. This has allowed me to hang around after class to ask my own specific questions, which has helped a lot. Amongst the group of student there are many who cross-train through the schools various forms, which is a testament to the quality of the classes. If you're interested in self-defense and/or getting a great workout (and if you're tired of the same gym routine like I was), I really recommend that you come watch a class and see what you're missing.

Provided by YP.comI went in to check out the facility and the staff was quick to welcome me in and make me feel comfortable about being there. They were great about answering questions and offered to let me join in on a boxing/kickboxing class before price was even discussed. The instructors and even guys in the class were good about offering advice on technique and encouragement. Good place if you want small classes and a positive environment.

Provided by YP.comI love the spirit, attitude and energy at Seattle Tae Kwon Do. I've been a student 2+ years and remember feeling very much at home right from the beginning. It's a great place to work out as a novice or a more seasoned martial artist - I've been in the Thai Kickboxing class and have loved it, but now I'm sampling Tae Kwon Do training. It's a great place to experiment.
