A nearly 100 year old business that continues to thrive because of quality and professionalism. Their work can be seen on the likes of Pebble Beach cars and restorations of high end marques. So I am proud to have their work on my small projects.
Owners, Richard and Gayle Frisch, are well respected in the restoration community and should be proud of carrying on the traditions of quality workmanship.

Four months of run around and deceit. Non existent parts tracking, just leave your parts on the counter, no promised call back of status inquiries, told by owner parts were being worked on. Over four months I went to the business today and found my parts still sitting on the counter. Avoid this place.

This is the place to go if you want the best quality combined with prompt service. The owner, a man named Richard, took time with me to explain the process, which is complex, and requires some very exspensive equipment. I had no idea that chrome was so labor intensive. I have received quite an education on plating, thanks to Richard Frisch, owner of Queen City Plating.

I was truly impressed with the knowledge his employees have working with metals. I took parts for one of the projects I am working on to Queen City Plating because the first place I went to said they couldnt plate (my) pot metal.
When I asked the man why they couldn't, he rather impolitely stated that they were crap, and cut me off when I said I would like to have everything done in one place. To my bewilderment the salesperson got irate and started swearing at me, and that I should leave before he threw me out!

When my job was ready, I was called by Gayle, the VP of Queen City. I asked if I could have it shipped to me as I live in Centralia. She said no problem.

Opening the packages was a real treat. I felt it was like Christmas. Everything wasvery carefully wrapped and packed so that the parts would arrive safely. The best part is that everything looked great, including the pot metal that Arts plating said they cant do. I'm glad I made the trip to Mukilteo, Queen City Plating is truly professional in every way, friendly too.

I have been told by a man at the last car show I went to that chrome had been outlawed in Washington and Oregon, and that his company, located in San Diego was the only place that could do my parts. I've been building up a '34 Ford coupe. I thought this was BS, but had looked online and found otherwise. I needed somebody that would treat my job respectfully, and I sure didn't wish to send my parts out of state for plating.

As far as cost, I know that as with most things you get what you pay for. Queen City Plating isn't the cheapest, they may even be the priciest, but it's clear to me that their quality and their service is the best obtainable! I'm very happy with their work, and I will be coming back for more soon as I still have my bumpers and grille as well as other stuff I need chromed yet.
