Let's start with the good. I was served by Drew, who did an outstanding job serving me. He was polite and courteous. I barely saw my glass half-empty before he was refilling it- at no point in the evening did I ever run out of water. He even humored my wildly rude request to have as much of my change as possible in the form of quarters. I cannot ever recall having such an attentive, competent server.

That said, the food was OK. The bread was disappointingly bland and dry and set me up to be disappointed with the rest of the meal. The asparagus wasn't great. It looked like I was getting the last few strands in a bag.The tips were too soggy and the stems too crisp, capturing the worst of both worlds. The 3 mushroom blend was OK, as was the steak- but just OK. If it were priced at the level of Outback or Applebee's, I would say the steak was fantastic, but it's not. The New York Strip is $34.... the same price as at Bonge's Tavern, which makes food that is simply outstanding. If you are wanting to spend $34 on a steak, take the extra time to go there and suffer the hour-long wait. If you don't, go to a place like Applebee's where you can get your food as quickly as at Trust Your Butcher for much less with little discernible change in overall quality.
