We had to withdraw our bilingual daughter from the kindergarten program at KinderCare Mundelein, Illinois. Indeed the kindergarten program is not accredited by the State of Illinois and the teacher did not give feedback about my daughter's progress or answer emails or phone calls. if your child struggles, you have to persistent. . The teacher was not very communicative and did not prepare my daughter for the first grade readiness test in her public school. Before enrolling our daughter in KinderCare, Mundelein, we were told that the program was recognized by the State, and the teacher would prepare our daughter for the first grade readiness test, which is not true at all. I paid a lot of money about 1400 per month on a non accredited program. I also received a report card written in pencil, and the appreciation, the attendance and the teacher's signature were omitted. The teacher knew I had to send this poor report card to the school, but it did not bother her. Our daughter who was bilingual was rejected and failed the readiness test. She had to repeat kindergarten. Indeed the teacher did not prepare our daughter for the first grade readiness test and we did not know what she was doing in the classroom until my husband and I complained, but it was too late. It had been an awful and frustrating experience for our bilingual child. It is not a good place for diversity and if you child struggles, you have to figure out. If you are a parent who cares about the education of your child, find an accredited kindergarten program, and make sure the teacher prepares you for the first grade readiness test. Do not be fool like me, and talk to your public school about the test, how to enter first grade. Do not trust non accredited kindergarten programs as my husband and I did. It had been a terrible and frustrating experience. We had lost so much money, but the director did not care. She cared about our money but not our child's success, we learned after that.
