Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church was founded in 1976. Our first Pastor, Abbott Edmund F. McCaffrey, celebrated the first Mass on July 18, 1976. The current church was built under the direction of Rev. Raymond Carlo and dedicated on August 17, 2012. Saint Michael Catholic School opened in 1999. This learning center provides academic instruction to nearly 200 students in pre-kindergarten (ages 2-1/2-4) through grade eight. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, science, history, social studies, Spanish, Latin, technology, religion, and physical education. The school also offers after-school and special education programs. St. Michael Catholic School offers various extracurricular activities, such as music, art, field trips, and choir. It has a gymnasium, auditorium and cafeteria. The school provides various athletic activities, such as basketball, volleyball, cross-country, and track and field. The school maintains a library and media center that provides access to online resources, newspapers and encyclopedias, as well as photographs, pictures, charts, maps and reference materials. They have a parent-teacher organization that provides additional funds for the educational and extracurricular operations of the school.
