I absolutely love Dr. Hurwitz and I loved her old office and all the stuff that came with it. Private practice is way better than any kind of corporate practice! She is now switched to Rady's children's network and this really chaps my hide. All the office staff is different. You know have to wait on hold forever. I'm really disappointed in this

We LOVE Dr. Hurwitz. She really knows her stuff. She is always available to her patients. I once called her office on a Sunday, and it went straight to her cell phone voice mail. She called us back shortly, apologizing for not being immediately available because she was on a plane. Her office is very busy, but I have never waited an hour to see her. It is run meticulously. Dr. Hurwitz is high energy. If you want a calm office that takes a long time to hear you out and empathize with you over your problems, this is not the place for you. She is very direct and matter of fact in her delivery of information. If you have questions, she will stop to answer them. I sometimes repeat back to her what she's said so I can make sure I heard her correctly, because she can speak quickly. When both of my sons were born, she held them and loved on them as if they were members of her own family. I would never go anywhere else. We moved, and we still drive 40 minutes to her office to get the best care for our sons. I have recommended her to all of my coworkers.

I don't understand the previous negative review, but Dr. Hurwitz treated my baby as if she was hers! She will come in on weekends if she has to(and she has for my little one)! there is no such thing as an answering service, she PERSONALY answers the phone after hours and is always more then happy to help!. She doesn't like to over prescribe AT ALL and specializes in ecceptional needs children. I find myself lucky to have her as my baby's doctor. As to the time she spends with you, she will answer all and any questions you have and has always done any and all that is nesacary in the appointments. Its not needed to spend 20 min. on your kids 4 month check up...but if it was, she would do it.

This doctor runs their office like a free clinic; wait an hour and be seen for about 5 minutes. She must see 12 to 15 patients an hour. She has misdiagnosed my son TWICE... and prescribed unecessary meds for him. I do not know why I went back a 2nd time. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PRECIOUS CHILDREN TO SEE THIS DOCTOR!!!!
