The Murrysville Police Department protects the property and well-being of more than 18,000 citizens through law enforcement. The department is accredited by the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission. The Murrysville Police Department provides patrol services, responds to emergencies, investigates crimes and develops crime prevention programs. The department has a crime prevention unit that maintains constant communication with the community through surveys, public forums and other service groups. It additionally has a K-9 unit that handles issues related to drug intervention, tracking, and searches for people, property and evidence.
