I hired Bridgewater Home Watch to inspect a home I was buying in Myrtle Beach, SC. I was purchasing remotely from California so the inspection service was critical. All of the following was major damage not reported in inspection report.

1) HVAC heat pump was not turning on and the compressor had to be replaced.

2) Front foyer marble floor has huge holes in it, so bad that flooring repair companies will not even repair it but only replace.

3) Bedroom 4 inch R20 ceiling can lights electric line wires exposed inside the cans. Sockets rigged with PVC pipe. MAJOR fire hazard.

4) 3 bathroom toilets had rusted off toilet tank bolts, tanks loose and ready to fall off, one tank leaking a gallon of water a day on floor.

5) All 3 garage doors had 1 foot sections of the bottom door rubber seal missing.

6) All 5 outdoor wall sconce light fixtures had paint that completely had rotted off the fixtures.

7) Entire vinyl fence line bottom rails sagging and upright rails were falling out.

8 ) 2 inch faux wood blinds 15 of them missing wands, broken tilt mechanisms, broken slats.

9) Master bath has very loud pipes banging in the wall when you run the shower hot water for more than 5 minutes.

10) One exterior door lock was not functioning.

11) Huge $5,000 BBQ appliance had rusted shut drawers and grates completely rusted through and appliance unusable.

12) Electric water heater missing expansion tank.

13) Tray ceiling light strip plug connected to the house romex wires by splicing the romex wire and looping the bare wires around the light strip plug prongs.

17) Huge candle wax stains on the rubble stone fireplace and fireplace hearth. Wax was not removable and hearth stone must be honed down.

18) One rain gutter was completely buried in the ground.

Bridgewater Home Watch is completely and utterly incompetent to provide home purchase inspection services.
