Provided by YP.comI have rented several times from Enterprise in Pawleys island, and in Pennsylvania, but last week I had to rent from the myrtle beach location. I had so much trouble because my card was a debit/credit card instead of just a credit card. I was asked to submit 2 proofs of residence, what? a utility bill, etc. so I hap[ened to have an electric bill, but he wouldn't take that because it was over 30 days old. so I actually had to let this guy look at my paychecks which I found grossly invasive. but that wasn't the worst of it. he actually asked me for 3 names with phone numbers!!! what a load of crap. if it weren't for the hurricane and needing to go that weekend I would have told them to forget it. the sad part is that I work at a car dealer that does business with this office every day. there are too many other rental places to put up with this crap and next time I will certainly use one of them. Hertz, National, here I come.

Provided by YP.comMy personal car died completely (factory defect) in Myrtle Beach on a Sunday morning in the middle of a tropical storm. I needed to be home, 135 miles away that same day so renting a car Enterprise was my thought and I was pleased that they could accommodate me on short notice, although not without some complications. The people were very pleasant and helpful. The only vehicles they had available were cargo vans. Not my first choice, but I could not be choosy at that point. The store hours seemed strange, 9 AM - 1 PM on Sundays, putting me in a bit of a time crunch. They did not have sufficient staff on hand to pick me up so I had to take a cab. Only 1 person was working the store front when I arrived, 1 hour before closing, behind 2 previous customers. At least 7 more customers came in while I was there so I am sure Arthur did not get out of there by the 1 PM closing. I do want to stress that Arthur was EXTREMELY professional, courteous and helpful. I received a small "city cargo" van which got me back on the road. The daily rate was $50.00, which is considerable higher that the rate for a vehicle that would have been my preference and I was not offered any discount. I felt like I had been a little taken advantage of under my urgent circumstances. The van was quite noise and rough riding so I checked the tires the next morning before driving it. The maximum recommended pressure stated on the tires was 35 PSI and all 4 tires were inflated to 50 PSI. This was a nearly new truck with less that 600 miles on it when I picked it up so it appeared that it had not been properly serviced when it was first put into use.
Again, very pleasant experience under the circumstances but more expensive than I would have expected from past experiences with Enterprise and the maintenance of the vehicle was not what I would expect.

Provided by YP.comI rented a car from here for 22 days and these were the most pleasant people to work with. The wait time was minimal and they listened to your needs without rushing you through. I would recommend them when you are in need of a rental.
