Manager was very rude, insinuated I was a liar and refused an even exchange.
I spent more than 200$ at the Garden City store during a trip on 4/15/17. Needed a larger size Reef flip flop for my son so went to exchange them when we got back to the beach on 6/4/17. The manager initially thought I was trying to exchange shoes from 2015... Not sure why. So when I was able to get him to actually relook at my receipt he realized it was actually about 45 days ago but srill refused to exchange them (never worn, tags still on) because he said it had been too long (although there was no published time limit on the receipt or in the store nor could he tell me the time limit he had in mind.) He also didn't like that I had picked the sticker price tag off the cardboard tag (since I was giving the shoes as a gift) although he could have very easily put a new sticker on. I just wanted an even exchange for the next size up. Very disappointing experience. I am now stuck with a pair of shoes that is too small for my child and have to buy another pair. Any other store would have agreed on an even exchange for an unworn pair of shoes accompanied by a receipt from 45 days ago. There are so many other retailers and I will be sure to shop anywhere but here in the future and will also inform all my family, friends and social media contacts about this unpleasant experience.
