Anyone who rates this apartment complex as anything higher than two stars is employed by the owner of the complex to raise their ratings. This is the WORST complex you will ever live in. It is OVERPRICED and tiny. They will scam you out of all your money. When you move in, the apartment is so DIRTY, half the appliances don't work, they take forever to get around to maintenance, and the owner parks his giant Winnebago in the parking lot and leaves it there so he doesn't have to pay for storage! It blocks up half the parking lot! They'll tell you that you $50 for cleaning when you move out, but they don't actually clean the apartment when you leave, which is obvious by the state of the apartment when you move in. And you can clean that apartment until it's spotless and smells like Pinesol and they'll still charge you! This apartment is pretty much just for students, so you can expect parties every night, and even when you make a noise complaint, they still don't do anything about it! When I moved out, they tried to charge me $100 for damages I had already noted down, and only backed off when I showed them my copy of the damage report I filled out when I moved in. Hang onto everything they give you and take pictures of the entire apartment when you move out because they will try to charge you in any way they can. The owner of this apartment complex is a shady scammer, and no one should ever live here!

Managing expenses is very convenient because utilities, cable and internet is covered by rent. The staff is helpful and very friendly. When they say that maintenance will arrive at three they actually come at three. My loft is very comfortable. I was very surprised by the spacious pantry and cozy kitchen nook. The complex is well groomed and the front doors alternate between 3-4 different colors so every porch doesn't look alike. I took the apartment because I needed a place fast and it was in my price range. Though I now have the opportunity to move into my first choice I can’t imagine giving up my loft.

I love it. The people at the office are so helpful and quick to pay attention to my needs. I love living here and I will stay as long as I can.

I've been living at the Californians for about nine months, and I must admit that at first I didn't liked the Idea of living there since I had my hopes on another complex. But once I moved there and met the management staff, experienced the warm and calm environment, enjoyed the apartment, and its closeness to the school, I loved them!!! I totally recommend living at the Californian!!! I love living there!!!

I love this place! I am a student at SFA and recently just had a baby. I had my baby over the dates that rent was due for May, and not only did they understand and waived my late fees, but they actually sent my flowers after my delivery. My apartment is great, but the best part of the complex is the people they have in the office. They just get it, (most of them being students) about student life and student living. You have no idea how nice it is to not have to fear the office if there is ever a problem with my apartment. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I love love love The Californian!! The management is fantastic! The girls that work in the office are some of my favorite people! They don't only remember your name, they try and keep up with what is going on in your life! I always felt like they cared about me & were trying to make my life easier. I loved it being all bills paid, because I only had to pay one bill one time a month! The pool is new and so gorgeous, I love the tanning decks! :) & I never had to drive to campus because The Cali is literally right across the street!! I highly recommend living here! :) Axe 'Em JACKS!!!
