My dad and I purchased a new fishing boat from Jeff at J&H Marine in Nampa. It was a very pleasant transaction. Jeff is a very pleasant man to deal with. Very friendly, and knowledgeable.

J and H marine have been serving us the last 10 years and we have had nothing but success with them with the purchase and service of our bass boats. Jeff and the guys have gone above and beyond to give us great maintenance and service. They are an honest business with great integrity. We plan on working with them for years to come.

I bought a boat from them for $3000. In their post online they mentioned how well the boat ran, and that the lower end had just been rebuilt. I got it on the water one time and it broke down on me. I understand as is sales, but it's not like you can really test drive a boat. Very disappointed.

Wanted to buy a used outboard motor that Jeff had on consignment. Asked how it ran and he said "to tell the truth, I don't know as I haven't had a chance to check it out yet" It would be a few days before he'd be able to check it out and said he'd call me back. I told him if it checked out I'd buy it and we shook hands on it. A few days later it was a done deal. I'm very happy with the motor and the service I got from Jeff @ J&H Sales and Marine and have recommended them to family and friends.

Always enjoy the people here, friendly and knowledgeable. They will even take a boat you are looking at to the lake and let you run it around for awhile to make sure you like it. They go out of their way to make customers happy. A good place to find out where the fish are biting!

Really disappointed. We own a 1996 Evinrude 150. Last season, the boat had issues with flooding when we first got in the water. We took it to JH Sales & Marine in Nampa, Idaho in March to get it tuned up and let Terry (the "mechanic") know about the issues. Long story short, he diagnoses the issue as the VRO pump, replaces that and then performs the routine de-winterization maintainence. The bill was $1244. We were so excited, we took it up to Lucky Peak the very next morning with my brother and my 7 year old son to do a little Kokanee fishing. We unload the boat, park the truck, try to start the boat and it won't start. I try for an hour to start the thing...pulling spark plugs, replaced the fuel bulb, etc. Nothing! You can imagine my 7 year olds response! Devastation! We take the boat in the following Monday and Terry "diagnoses" it as the ignition. He replaces that for another $75. Take it up to Arrowrock the following day and nothing. Boat won't fire. Call Terry and he tells me to bring it in again! No way am I going to let you take more of my money by misdiagnosing issues. Taking it somewhere else...wish I could give you 0 stars!

Formally Western Marine Inc. Still the same friendly faces and customer service. Best place to have your boat serviced especially your Ranger Boat. Even though they no longer sell Ranger Boats they still are the most knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to your Ranger Boat or any other boat for that matter. Never once have I had any problems. Best group of people to work with.
