Eli A. Silver, M.D. is a Napa native, graduating Napa High School first in his class. He received an AB degree in biology with honors from Harvard University and was awarded the John Harvard Scholarship for academic achievement of the highest distinction. Before starting medicalschool, he conducted research at UC Berkeley in the fields of cancer, aging, and nutrition and co-authored an article published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition focusing on the benefits of high-dose vitamin therapy. Dr. Silver received his M.D. degree at the University of California at Irvine, followed by an internship at the Alameda County Medical Center/Highland Hospital. He completed his dermatology residency at McGill University. Diane S. Silver, M.D. graduated Douglass College (the women's division of Rutgers University). Dr. Silverattended Harvard University and received a master's degree in teaching mathematics(M.A.T.). She then received her M.D. degree from the University of Southern Cal ifornia,and interned at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, completing her dermatology residency at Stanford University, where her original research paper was the correction of acne scars by collagen injections. Dr. Silver was board certified in dermatology and opened her solo practice in Napa in 1979.
