I am disappointed with this company. They did keep the appointments time.

i got an estimate, but the person never told me that certain things had to be up to code. I was change almost $1,400.00 to put in a circuit breaker and to install some new lightings. The only thing to be done with the lighting was taking out the old and installing new .When they installed the new lighting it was done very messy, wrong fixtures used and not following the original drawings. I had to purchase additional fixtures. I later found out that I needed to have certain outlets to be up to code.

The electrican did not tell me this. The circuit breaker was install crooked so it made a problem for the company that was installing a backsplash. All total they came out four times for what was suppose to be a simple job. They then charged me an additional fee of $170.00 to install three outlets. I felt this was unfair because the person who did the estimates and the person who install the circuit breaker should have known to make sure everhthing was up to code. The estimater also told me that they would check an air conditioner to be sure it was not the wiring, but the unit.

This also was never done, but a part of the charge of $1,389.00.



I would say before having this company do any work for you that you have everthing in writing as to exactly what they are doing and also have some one to inspect before paying them any money.

The job was done in a neat, timely manner. The workmen were courteous and willing to address any questions or concerns that we had. I found them very helpful in making a decision on the work to be done. They have become our permanent electricians.

This place was unable to meet the time commitment on 2 different occasions. First, they did not show up on day one. I decided that since the reviews I read were good, that I would give them a second chance. The second time, they were 2 hours late and then showed up without the materials they needed. Extremely unprofessional and a huge waste of my time. In this economy, I'm sure glad that ESSEX ELECTRIC can afford to loose customers. Word travels fast...

I recently had electrical damage to my home during some of the summer storms, so I called Essex electric based on reviews like this one.



The electrican from Essex was very knowledgeable, professional, and provided a clear diagnosis of the possible reasons for all of the equipment failures I experienced.



I will definitely contact them again for my electrical needs.

Essex Electrical Contractors is the best electrical firm that I have dealt with. They are very professional and honest! The work was exceptional, also. The estimator had several great ideas on the layout of the recess lighting that we did in our basement. The electricians that came to do the job where also very clean and very experienced. I will defiantly use Essex Electrical Contractors again.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the estimator and the company as a hole. When the crew came out to my house to do the work, again, I was very impressed with how clean and knowledgeable they where.
