Provided by YP.comI work at a Fox Valley Coins. There really isn't a way to respond to criticism of our company, so I thought I would write a response. There was a previous review that said we had overcharged for silver by telling her the spot price was $29 an ounce but she said she looked later and it wasn't. Anyone who wants can look up a London Fix historical chart for the day of the review and prior will see that the price was well over $29. We will try to be more specific with explaining our pricing, but please at least be sure of your complaint before trying to ruin our good name that has been 30 + years in the making. Or better yet, please just call us or come back in and we can explain it properly so you are a satisfied customer. Our business is built on return customers, so please give us the chance to either explain or make it right rather than just throwing up a poor review. Also there was a comment by someone who said we had a double standard between a coin he was trying to sell and then saw the same coin on our website listed for much more. This is clearly false and anyone can look at our website and see that we have never sold anything on our website. It is simply for informational purposes about the store. If you are reading this and trying to decide whether to come in or not, please do and see for yourself what we do and how we do it. I think you will like it.

Provided by YP.comThey seemed courteous and helpful. Went to buy silver rounds. Was told that they sell them for 5 percent over spot and that spot was 29 dollars and something. I didn't listen all that carefully being trusting. Was charged 31.35 per ounce. Later, I checked the spot price of silver and it was at 28.80. Hadn't been in the 29 dollar range for two days. So I figure I was over charged. Did I figure something wrong here? Be careful when you buy. Always check when you are "there."

Provided by YP.comI originally was disappointed when I first went to Fox Valley Coins because I did not realize they were closed on Sunday. I guess I should have called first. I had shopped my merchandise around to some Pawn Shops and other local Coin Shops to see what they would offer. I then took it back to Fox Valley Coins on a day they were open. They offered the highest price of all places i had gone to. It was actually a little embarrassing because while I was there. One of the dealers I had taken my items in to get prices, was there selling their stuff to Fox Valley Coins. Awkward. LOL! I did sell everything to Fox Valley Coins and will recommend then to anybody. Jill Sutherland - Downers Grove

Provided by YP.comRecently I lost my construction job because of this bad economy. I desperately needed money for my mortgage. My father saved old silver coins from the 40's to early 60's. I also had some gold coins that my grandmother gave me when I was young. I went into a couple of places to get prices and felt like I was bothering them. I felt very comfortable at Fox Valley Coins. I was shopping around for the best price and all Fox Valley Coins wanted was to help me and make sure I felt comfortable selling my items for the top price. They were way higher than any other place I went to! Not only did I sell my coins to them. They helped me to auction off my fathers pocket watch and Lionel Train collection through their auction, which I was very pleased with as well. I have nothing but PRAISE for Fox Valley Coins! Bob

Provided by YP.comMy grandfather left us a large coin collection of old U.S. Coins, Silver, & Gold. We were greeted with kind understanding people that educated us on what we had and offered us a above expected price. They even offered if we wanted to keep something for sentimental reasons, what would have the greatest chance of going up in value in the future. John really helped us in a time when we really needed it. I would recommend Fox Valley Coins to anyone serious about wanting an honest price for their belongings. Lisa White
