My first set of hearing aids, in around '03 were SeboTek. The first I had ever tried of the tiny speaker on wire in ear type. They were great. After 5 years I was told this absolutely fantastic type were out that would instantly shut out when there was anything above a certain decibel level. Meaning my sound comfort level. HE LIED....I begged him not to talk me into anything costing $6,500 that would not get me back to work to be able to pay for them. He kept lying! Elaborated on them to the point I did put down half the cost. Turns out HE didn't even know how to adjust them. Wasted hours and hours several days and THEN tells me my hearing loss was due to my needs NUTRITIONALLY and tries to sell me supplements!!!! I left his office and never went back. He is fron Cuba and I would never have gone to him but could find no one American locally (Tim Dunnigan is absolutely terriblea fumbling joke....worse than Louis at ABH

He wasted $5,000 for me!)

I have finally found a new audiologist. Her last name is Lina. I was recommended by the company that made my Unitron Maxi set to adjust them...she did want me to try a set of $1,600 Phonak aids. I return them Monday...they are great but have too much tied up in previous Unitron and SeboTek sets. Hopefully she will adjust them to the point I can deal with it.

Do NOT go to A Better Hearing. So NOT pay more than $1,600 a set and I would recommend Phonak. Just not from Louis.
