I feel that I need to share my poor experience to alert others of what they can expect when they call Taxi-Time for a cab.



We called for service from Oaks Blvd to the Bellasera Hotel in downtown Naples. The van that arrived was not in good shape, and neither of the sliding side doors were working to get into the van. The driver got out and struggled with the doors and got them open. The driver had no idea how to get to the hotel. When I tried to explain it to him, he had difficulty understanding me. He drove North on Oaks to get to Immokalee road, instead of south to Vanderbilt, adding about two miles to the trip. When we finally directed the driver to the hotel, The sliding doors again did not work, and the driver got out and by pushing and pulling on the door, was able to get the door on the driver's side open where my wife was sitting (I'm glad we did not have an emergency that required us to exit the van quickly). I crossed over to that side and exited the van to pay the driver who was standing outside. I paid the driver cash for the trip. The fare was just over $40, and I told the driver to round it up to $50 (which in retrospect was much too generous based on the service). In any case, the driver dug through his pockets for change and came up $2 short, effectively increasing his tip even more. He then got into the van and drove off before I had a chance to retrieve the bag that I had placed between our seats. I could not flag him down, so I immediately called the dispatch number to let them know that the taxi had driven off with my bag. I waited on the street outside the hotel until they were able to reach him and he returned the bag (15-20 minutes later).



My specific issues are:



Poorly maintained vehicle that could have been very dangerous in an emergency.

Driver was not familiar with the area, costing us extra by taking a longer route, and depending on us to direct him to the hotel.

Driver's sloppy, unprofessional appearance and lack of communication.

Driver did not bother to even glance into the cab before driving off, leaving with my bag.

Driver did not have change for a cash paying guest.



I will certainly not be using their services again. Nor will I be recommending their company to any of my guests.

Avoid them at all costs. Late for picking us up for an important business dinner. Driver could not communicate in English. Once he arrived we voiced our concerns to him. His reply...in broken english......Taxi Time doesn't give a sh*t, they just get our $ each week.

I booked a taxi from ramada inn naples to fort myers airport. the hotel told me I had a flat rate of 55 us dollars. on the contrary I paid 110 dollars twice as much and when I contacted the supervisor of the taxi company (Mr. Dave) he said his driver told him I stopped twice on the way and asked the driver to take a different road. Completely false. I was going to the airport to collect a car from budget and it made no sense to stop knowing I would have had my car a bit later. He was telling me he would have called me back to find a solution and that did not happen. A real fraud!! This guy is making money cheating people.
