He told me that I needed a crown and that my insurance wouldn't pay for it. Wanted to charge me over $800. cash. I went to another dentist and my insurance paid for it with no problem whatsoever. This guy is a scam artist. No wonder his office is always empty. Me and my family won't be returning to this quack.

Terrible! I went to see Dr. Parsell today for the first time and I will never go back. In fact, I have had to file a complaint with my insurance company so that I can see another dentist immediately. I went in to see Dr. Parsell for a yearly checkup/cleaning. He polished my teeth really hard (until my gums were swollen and bleeding), and sent me on my way. He skipped all of the other steps that are usually part of a basic cleaning/check up. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. When I told him that my one and only filling that I had done over 10 years ago had cracked and was causing me pain, he said people's teeth crack as they age and not to worry about it until I'm older. I'm 29 and I've always had excellent teeth, but several hours after seeing Dr. Parsell for a basic cleaning, I'm still in a lot of pain.

I thought it was strange that I left a message for an appointment and the dentist himself called me back. He was persistent about getting me in for an appointment. I brought my x-rays from another dentist and I don't remember them saying I needed a filling but he said I needed on and filled a tooth. After leaving that night I got a red spot on my top lip. Later it got worse and I thought it was a cold sore which is strange because I never got cold sores. One night it got very painful. Then I got a rash on my cheek, under my eye and up to my temple. I went to my family doctor and he thought it was shingles. I even had to go to a eye specialist to see if it had gotten into my eye. This all happened after seeing Parsell DDS.

Really unhappy with the quality and care of this dentist. Yes it was easy to get into this dentist and now I wonder why. While doing extractions on my lower jaw, I felt my jaw bone pop and told Dr. Parsell and he stated it was only pressure that everything was fine. I called in the next day and was told it was normal by the nurse. Dr. Parsell called and said that is normal and just to give it a while to heal. I called the following Monday and the nurse/assistant said Dr. Parsell was out of the office for a week and to use oragel on my gums or find another dentist. She also stated since the dentist is currently going through a divorce he doesn't need to be called in for any reason that if I needed to go to the emergency room then go. I did go to the emergency room due to intense pain and the CT scan showed one main fracture and possible two splintered areas. I called and left messages without any response from Dr. Parsell or the office.
