We had an awsome time. food was great!!!
Sevice was good.
After the bill was divied up between 4 couples ( 11 people ) NATE our waiter came and approached one of the female guests and said " I don't know what I did wrong but I only got a 10% tip! " I immediatly asked my husband how much the bill was and what the tip was. We had Nate come back over because we didn't want to short him a decent tip. When he spoke with my husband, he had mis-counted the total amount given him, but still felt his tip wasn't enough (which was $3.00 short of 15%).
No one in our party had an issue with the food or service, however, we felt that Nate should have spoken to the person who had paid the tab and handed him the money. On the way home, we also realized that Nate was including the tax in the total of the bill for the tip. As a rule you don't include the tax when deciding on the tip, which IS the customers discretion as to the amount of tip.
As it turned out, not only did Nate receive HIS 15% tip, he actually recieved approximetly 20%.
After the fact, it was felt by most members of the party that Nate did deserve a good tip, however he shouldn't have spoken to the wife, and could have been alittle more discrete as he did embarass the gentleman handling the bill.
