I WAS very happy with DMA and ...

I WAS very happy with Downtown Medical Associates, and my new doctor, (Dr. Chevy) until I went to him prior to my right shoulder rotator cuff surgery. My date was set for surgery for 2/12. I mentioned I had some very bad palpatations in my chest/heart area. He did an EKG on me, cancelled my surgery for the next day and set me up for more blood work (which I got that day), an Echo Stress test, done 2/20, as well as wear a halter monitor for 24 hours after Stress Echo test. I was to go to him on the 24 to be 'cleared' for surgery. All my tests were perfect! EXCEPT he had not received my monitor results YET (on 2/24). Dr. Chevy PROMISED me he would get them before the end of the week and would call my surgeon, clear me for the surgery, fax him he information, then call me to tell me the good news! I called Dr.C's office on the 26th. HE WAS ON VACATION!!!! What? He left NO ONE in Charge. He KNEW how upset and anxious I was about getting this surgery done in an orderly manner.I am NOW 3 weeks behind. and HE is on vacation-which he NEVER told me. Due to his lack of concern, not leaving anyone informed on MY situation (his patient) having no regard for my welfare AT ALL, I just sit and wait and BOIL, suffering aggravation, anxiety, anger and am now in more bodily pain than ever! I have lost my trust and faith in a doctor who put HIS VACATION BEFORE his patient!!!! One of the nurses got the result for me on the 26 when HE was on VACA. (Thurs.) which could have been done and all would HAVE or COULD have been done and over by now, IF HE had left someone in the office in charge of my situation to be able to handle it! Now I am so behind, it is ridiculous and simply a feeling that he cares nothing about me or my well being, whatsoever. "Do no harm">??? Ha? Mental, physical - not to mention a huge convention I have been planning to attend in Atlanta, GA the 1st of July,...it is a LONG recovery and requires ALOT of P.T. Mental anquish creeping in every day. I feel he has just treated me and my HEALTH situation like it is very 'low' priority and I am very disappointed with his laid back manner and have lost my trust, faith and much of what he 'promised' me, as just 'stringing me along,'. He himself PROMISED ME, he himself, would call ME, after calling my surgeon, with the results and that he would also speak to my surgeon in person to tell him I am 'cleared' for surgery. Instead he had is secretary call me to tell me that he ask HER to send the FAX information to my surgeons office... and once again, I am totally shocked that he did NOT do what he PROMISED me he would do. I am hoping he has a director, supervisor or someone he has to answer to who will see this and will find it necessary to 'watch Dr. Chevy more closely in the future to be sure he is practicing and keeping true his Hypocratic Oath.... because in my opinion, he has broken that Oath with me. I have worked in the medical field for TEN years and KNOW for sure Dr. Chevy would not last long treating patients in such a laid back manner, and promise everything and give NOTHING! Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope someone did read this... or else, another moot point. Where does this go..... into space, like everything else.. does anyone even read these reviews? I desperately hope so. A very concerned and outraged patient (x)???? of Dr. Daniel Chevy.
