Brown County Parks and Recreation is located in Nashville, Ind. Open Monday through Friday, it provides Deer Run Park shelter and ball fields for scheduled games, practices and private parties. The Park facilities include walking trail, two batting cages, four ball diamonds, picnic tables and grills, large playground, concession stand for ball games, three soccer fields and a lighted basketball court. The park offers a wide variety of programs and activities for children, such as archery, summer programs for children from grades kindergarten through six, senior softball, summer and spring baseball league, youth softball, soccer, volleyball, judo and cheerleading. Its boys wrestling program competition includes interschool, statewide and national meets. Volunteers of the Indiana Bow Hunters Association provide coaching for archery.
