Croft Middle School enrolls more than 700 students in grades five through eight. It offers academic programs in mathematics, English, physical science, Spanish and social studies. The school s related arts courses include band, strings, chorus, art, health and physical education and computer science. Croft Middle School additionally offers on-site before- and after-care programs. Its media center provides various reading and research resources and organizes sessions by guest speakers. The school is located on the property of the Nashville Zoo. Croft Middle School offers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program for students in grade five. It operates a design center that provides instruction on the basics of reading and math, as well as important skills, such as cooking, planting, housekeeping and working together.
