Pediatrician David A. Wyckoff, M.D., F.A.A.P., joined the staff of Pediatric Associates in August 2007. Dr. Wyckoff is a native of Nashville and a 1992 graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy. He received a bachelor's degree in molecular biology from Princeton University in 1996, and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 2000. Dr. Wyckoff recently completed seven years of active duty service as a pediatrician in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps as a lieutenant commander. He finished his residency in pediatrics in 2003 at Naval Medical Center San Diego and became a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics later that year. Most recently from 2003 to 2007, he spent four years as a staff pediatrician at the Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital in Twentynine Palms, California, taking care of the children of active duty Marines, acting as a consultant on patients for the Family Medicine Department, and training staff in pediatric and neonatal life support. In 2007 he moved back to Nashville and joined Pediatric Associates of Davidson County. Dr. Wyckoff is a Clinical Instructor with Monroe Carrell Children's Hospital, Vanderbilt Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics; Medical Staff member at Baptist Hospital and Centennial Medical Center. He is also Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Wyckoff is married and has two sons. His hobbies include baseball, running, and music. He currently sings baritone in and is the president of the Westminster Presbyterian Church Choir.
