I was very pleased to find Expert Lamp Repair to fix my lamp. Mr. Cates is very knowledgeable. The repair was a great turnaround time and the price was good. I am very happy to have my lamp in working condition again. I would highly recommend. He is an established businessman.

Mr. Harold did a great job with two lamps that were falling apart. Did not take him and he cleaned them as well. Recommend.

We brought 6 antique lamps to Harold to rewire, including two lamps that were extremely difficult to fix in that they needed to be totally reworked. Even though it was an extremely difficult task, Harold never gave up. They turned out beautifully. I wouldn't trust my lamps to anyone else.

If I were able, I would make this review with Ten Stars ! Mr. Cates is a professional who takes pride in doing a top job. My antique lamp has never looked and worked better. He is a gentleman and his word is true. Thank you Harold Cates. If I had 100 lamps ro be repaired, I would entrust you to do the job.

Harold did great job with our old broken Italian lamp. Now it looks and works like new. He did it in a week, and his price was modest. If I need to repair any old or antique lamp again, he'd be my first choice.

I had a lamp base that went with an antique reverse painted shade and the base was falling apart - the lamp base was actually in several pieces when I took it to Harold. Harold meticulously put it back together and made sure he kept everything original inside the sockets. Harold's work is amazing and he is a pleasure to be around. Harold upgraded an old reading lamp so we could use three way LED bulbs. He also installed a new plug and replaced the felt bottom. Prompt and friendly service. Thank you.

Harold Cates rewired several antique lamps for me. He not only brought them up to codes, but cleaned each one. He carefully matched switches and cords to improve their look. He is a very pleasant gentleman and I highly recommend Expert Lamp Repair!

Harold Cates with Expert Lamp Repair reworked a fluorescent lamp for detail work that had a faulty switch. He went the extra mile to help locate the switch since the manufacturer had discontinued that model. He also repaired an antique lamp to code and we could not be more pleased with both lamps. I needed on/off switches installed on a pair of sconces with antique gold finish. Harold found switches that perfectly matched the finish and meticulously installed them. The switches look like they were installed at factory rather than added after purchase. I could not be more pleased.

Harold Repaired 2 lamps that weren't working and returned them to like-new condition. Very reasonably priced...much less expensive than replacing them with store bought. Took a floor lamp to Mr. Cates which needed the weighted base attached, complete rewiring & the electric socket replaced. He fixed all flawlessly in a timely manner, with a great attitude. Very pleased with the outcome.

Took an antique fire hydrant that had been converted by my grandfather into a lamp and I wanted it upgraded and refurbished to give to one of my sons as a wedding gift.
