Established in 1912, Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet offers college-preparatory programs for students. It supports a personal development program that encourages the development of integrity, decision making skills and pursuit of interests. The academy has more than 40 faculty members and teachers. Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet conducts classes in English, foreign languages, social studies, art, music, science, math and physical education. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school maintains French, cartoon and comics, creative arts, bridge, international, German, photography, cultural events, mixed martial arts and Japanese language clubs. Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet also administers various athletic activities, such as basketball baseball, cross-country, volleyball, wrestling, golf, hockey, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, and track and field. It is located in Nashville, Tenn.
