ZERO,NONE,NADA ACESS 4-THE DISSABLED A.D.A? TOLD 1-PRICE ON PHONE BUT, IT WAS $60 MORE WHEN PAYING!

HELLO...I HATE TO WRITE NEGATIVE COMMENTS DUE TO THE FACT THAT OFTEN TIMES IT'S NOT THE FAULT OF THE ACTUAL PERSON WHO DOES THE WORK BUT, I DON'T WANT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TO HAPPEN TO YOU MY FRIEND ! MY STYLIST WAS JEN (SHE HAD A GREAT PERSONALITY, LISTENED TO WHAT I WANTED AND NEEDED. SHE WAS 100% PROFESSIONAL.) I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I HAVE FOUND MY NASHVILLE SALON AND STYLIST BUT, DUE TO TWO HUGE REASONS I'M STILL GOING TO BE LOOKING. THE #1 ISSUE WAS THE PRICE QUOATED NOT ONLY WAS IT PRICEY AN INFLATED FOR THE ATMOSPHERE AN OVER-ALL DECOR. THE #2- ISSUE WAS MUCH BIGGER IN THAT IT HAD ZERO ACCESS FOR ANY PERSON WITH ANY TYPE OF DISABILITY. IF YOU ARE IN A WHEELCHAIR OR EVEN DEPENDANT ON THE USE OF A WALKER YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET INTO THE SALON AT ALL. IF LIKE ME, YOU SUFFER WITH PAINFUL JOINTS DUE TO ARTHRITIS BUT, CAN STILL WALK, BE READY TO CLIMB NO LESS THAN 20-25 STEPS TO THE TOP PART OF THE BUILDING. I WOULD THINK A BUSINESS WOULD HAVE CERTAIN A.D.A. CODES TO BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR HANDICAPED PEOPLE. ACCORDING TO THE A.D.A. (I WAS SHOCKED THAT THEIR WASN'T AN ELEVATOR OR A RAMP! THERE WERE QUITE A FEW GRANNIES THERE WHO I KNOW FOUND THIS UNCOMFORTABLE AS WELL. NOT ONLY DID I SEE SOME PEOPLE RUBBING THEIR KNEES AND LOWER BACK. THEY SPOKE OUT ABOUT IT WHILE WE WERE ALL HAVING OUR HAIR DONE. THE EMPLOYEES ALSO COMMENTED THEIR UNDERSTANDING AND ADDED "WHAT ABOUT US? WE ARE UP-N-DOWN ALL DAY?" I FEEL FOR THEM BUT, THEY AT LEAST KNEW THAT BEFORE TAKING THE JOB. FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS AREN'T TOLD THIS WHEN MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. YOU ARRIVE AND THERE THEY ARE...SO HIT IT OR LOOK A MESS WITHOUT YOUR HAIR DONE. LIKE ME MOST WOMEN WILL SUCK-IT-UP AND START CLIMBING BUT, NOT AGAIN :) THE PRICE FOR CUT AND (PARTIAL HI-LIGHTS-NOT-FULL HI-LIGHTS CAME TO $160, THIS WAS BEFORE ADDING A TIP!! THIS WAS A FIRST TIME VISIT AND (DUE TO THE STEPS AND COST) IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME VISIT TOO. I HADN'T EXPECTED THE COST DIFFERENCE ESPECIALLY SINCE I ASKED WHILE SCHEDULING MY APPOINTMENT. AGAIN, NONE OF THESE NEGATIVES WERE IN ANY WAY THE STYLIST FAULT. SHE (JEN) EARNED HER 5-STARS SHE WAS SWEET, COMPETENT, FRIENDLY AN UNDERSTOOD WHAT I NEEDED & WANTED. MY HOPE IS THIS REVIEW SAVES THE NEXT HANDICAPPED PERSON BOTH PAIN AND EMBARRASSMENT. AS WELL AS MONEY, IT DOES NOT GROW ON TREES, THE LAST TIME I CHECKED. I’M A PERSON WHO CAN AFFORD THE MONEY BUT, I CHOOSE NOT TO SPLURGE ON A HAIR DO I’D RATHER FEED A FEW OF OUR HOMELESS HERE IN NASHVILLE INSTEAD.
