I called these guys to have them come and take a look at my HVAC. All I wanted was service call diagnostic on my heat problem.( had the same problem before and it was the circuitboard, which I just ordered and replaced). Just wanted a professional to tell me what was the problem with my heat. He then asked me to send him a picture of the model number of my HVAC unit. This was all set up on Thursday. On Friday, this guy calls me back and told me that he has the circuitboard for my unit and it’ll cost me over $500 to get it replaced. I asked him how did he know what my problem is without even looking at it? He then told me, that he’s 98% sure that it is the circuitboard, but he’s not going to come out and diagnose my system unless I pay for the board, And he’ll waive the service call fee. I didn’t want him to replace anything, just let me know what’s wrong with my HVAC unit, and I didn’t ask him to waive anything! And then he told me, it’s not worth my time to come out and diagnose your unit if I’m not going to replace any parts! Really? I called another HVAC company and He took about 35 minutes checking everything on my unit, and it wasn’t even the circuitboard. It was the motor mount that was broken, which he had replaced in about 10 minutes. Haven’t had a problem since.

Don’t use kuhn air, or If you want to pay thousands of dollars for $10 part, give this guy a call. He’ll gladly take your money for something you don’t need, and make you look stupid in the process.

BEWARE!! If this guy was any worse he would be in handcuffs. He charged me $200 for less than 15 minutes of work and to replace under 2 pounds of coolant/refrigerant. On top of the ridiculous rates he banged his tool bag into the bumper of my truck, scratching it, and acted like nothing happened. The cherry on top was when he said I should call someone else to track my leak because it would probably be difficult. So not only does he not want to work, but will charge an arm and a leg for anything resembling it. This guy (Ed) was a nightmare, and I hope people read this review and avoid suffering his "Service".
