I do NOT think anyone should use there service. I was charged $65.00 to have a used blade put on my mower after I ran over a tree root. For $65.00 I thought that I was getting a new blade. Who would have thought they would put used parts on to replace a broken blade. Just bad bussiness if you ask me. Will never use them again. 7-24-2012

Good Work, Terrible Service

Our experience pretty much matched the outside of their building.... shady and horrific. We called around to various lawn mower repair people and chose them because they would look at our mower for just a $20 down payment. Because we're on a tight budget, we told them clearly to call us before doing any repairs. We felt that if it was more than $40, we would be able to do it ourselves. Shoot, for $40, I might start my own lawn mower repair business. A few hours later, they called and said our mower was ready... this might have been our first warning sign that the guys were so "not" busy that they could sit around in lawn chairs waiting for the next lawn mower to arrive. When they called, they added that it would be $50. We asked them why they didn't call us first and they went into a long, rambling talk about what all they did to it and why the mower was in better condition, etc. You would think they were giving a "Show & Tell" on lawn mower repair to a group of distracted 5 years olds as the rambling lasted about 2 minutes but really only consisted of telling us they changed the oil, replaced the gas, and sharpened the blades. Every time we tried to respond, he'd cut us off and his voice would get louder. And exactly how much was it out of the $50 to sharpen my blades? Nevermind... I didn't ask that. I didn't care. We tried to explain that we were not questioning their work but simply felt they should own up to their mistake and apologize but there would be none of that. Instead, he threatened to sell our lawn mower in 15 days if we didn't pick it up and pay the $50. Later in the conversation, he also added that the fee would go up by $3 per day from here on out. We were perplexed by his attitude towards us and asked why he would not simply apologize and he claimed that we never told him this information and that they don't call unless its at least $75! This was not true. We actually had them repeat to us when we dropped it off that they understood to call us (kind of like when you're talking to a 5 year old). We told him that because of how he treated us, we'd tell our neighbors not to use him and he said he did not care that he didn't really need their business. By now, he was having a full-fledged 5 year old tantrum and we were still not sure why he was the one upset and why we were suddenly finding all of this quite funny. And my guess from the looks of this place is that he really may not care about the money. In fact, $50 may have been enough for him to close down the shop and go celebrate for the rest of the day. I'm guessing Dukes of Hazzard reruns where he roots for Boss Hogg. So in conclusion, there are a lot of lawn mower repair people... do yourself a favor and find someone honest!

DO NOT USE LEWIS LAWNMOWER CLINIC. This man is a scoundrel. We took my mother-in-law's mower to him and he called to say it was ready and told us the cost. Before we could pick it up, the big Nashville flood came. When we picked it up, he gave us this story that his business had flooded (it had not) and charged us another $20.00. He is gouging people already hurting from the flood.‎
